About the Role

Our client is Europe's leading independent overhaul and repair facility with a strong reputation in the aerospace industry. They provide services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers.

This role ensures efficient day-to-day operations of the Plating and Shot Peen departments while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

* Process components within plating or shot peen departments

* Plan and schedule workload in line with production schedules

* Develop and maintain strong team morale

* Implement standard operating practices and procedures

* Identify training and development opportunities

* Manage first-level discipline and grievance issues

* Maintain plant and equipment, including preventative maintenance

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

* Support new product development initiatives

Candidate Requirements

* Experience within the engineering industry

* Prior experience in a production workshop environment

* Proven leadership experience

* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

* Understanding of lean process principles

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

* Results-oriented with problem-solving ability
