HGV Class 1 Drivers

Location: Kettering / Thrapston
Pay: £18.00 Days / £19.50 Nights / £21 Sat / £22 Sun

The Role
Average shift length: 10-12 hours
7-day operation (working week runs Sunday to Saturday)
AM shifts: typically start between 05:00-07:00
PM shifts: typically start between 16:00-19:00
Average of 2 drops per shift, plus collections
Curtain-sided vehicles - Will involve some handballing
Delivery area spans:
North: up to Mansfield
West: Wednesbury
South: as far as Thatcham
East: as far as Lowestoft

Delivering cardboard packaging products
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate and drive HGV 1 (C+E) vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics team members
Shifts are booked daily with shift confirmation times texted to you the day before
Requirements

Valid HGV 1 C+E licence
Up-to-date Tacho Digi Card and an up-to-date DCPC Card
Min 12 months HGV Class 1 C+E experience
Strong understanding of road safety regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
We will accept up to 6 points on your licence, but no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
