Social, Emotional, Mental Health specialist

Are you a passionate Secondary Teacher looking to support and guide children with Special Educational Needs? Primarily Social, Emotional and Mental Health?

Do you have experience teaching either Maths or English Functional Skills?

Engage Education is currently working with a growing school in Brighton who support children with Social and Emotional Needs.

This is a special school for pupils from year 9 to year 11, who have the capacity to reach age related expectations yet whose neuro-diverse profiles alongside additional social, emotional and mental health result in significant barriers to learning. Their goal is to provide a supportive and happy environment for children to flourish.

• Support children with their individualised learning goals
• Understanding of EHCP’s
• Understanding of de-escalation strategies
• Cater to variety of needs and behaviour
• Be versatile, adaptable and resilient
• Effective behaviour management skills
• An understanding of attachment and trauma
