Shift: PM Shift, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a leadership role within the food industry.
Strong understanding of quality standards and health and safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. 
Basic food hygiene and food safety skill desirable
A high standard of both written and spoken English.
Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work well in small teams and communicate effectively with other key stakeholders within the business.
GMP and Health and Safety conscious
Physically fit due to manual handling requirements associated with the role. 
The Role:

Manage and lead a small team of three in the Flaking department.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of oat flaking, ensuring products meet customer specifications.
Maintain high standards of quality control, health and safety compliance, and excellent GMP practices.
Collaborate closely with your team and report directly to the Operations Manager.
Utilise a highly automated system; good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft systems are essential for daily reporting duties.
Ensure that all start up procedures are followed to maintain quality targets.
To select correct recipe and settings to achieve the days plan.
That ingredients are of the correct type and amount according to the recipes.
Carry out sampling for Gluten testing.
Carry out Bulk density and moisture tests according to customer requirements and spec.
Carry out Determination of Lipase activity tests.
To supply Packed product into warehouse with correct date coding,
Complete operational logs and complete computer record associated with the job.
To carry out environmental cleaning is all associated areas of the Process Department.
To be able to identify and interpret plant faults and communicate to maintenance team.
Actively engage and contribute to Lean improvement initiatives including daily SIC meetings.
Once permanent you will recieve: 

Salary £33,800
