Location: Leamington Spa (Hybrid - 1 day per week remote)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 7:30-16:30, Fri 7:30-12:30)

Buyer role:
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join a leading UK manufacturer with a proud heritage and a strong platform for future growth. This role offers a blend of strategic influence and hands-on procurement activity within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Buyer Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end procurement activity, ensuring the timely supply of materials and components to meet production requirements.
Develop and implement cost reduction strategies and supplier improvement plans.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring sourcing aligns with quality, cost, and lead time objectives.
Review and negotiate supplier contracts, service-level agreements, and performance KPIs.

Manage supplier relationships strategically, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Oversee material flow and inventory control, reducing obsolete stock and optimising efficiency.

Resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate pricing data within procurement systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams to address supply challenges.

Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards.

Buyer Experience:
MCIPS or CIPS Level 4 qualification (or working toward).

Strong experience in manufacturing procurement, particularly with electrical, gas, and raw material components (e.g., stainless or mild steel).

Proven ability in commodity management, supplier negotiation, and contract management.

Solid understanding of MRP systems and supply chain processes.
