Brief Description

A high achieving secondary school is seeking a PE Teacher to deliver high quality, inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, promoting physical development, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning.

This is a large secondary school with approximately 900 pupils on roll. The school has high academic expectations, strong behaviour standards, and a positive staff culture. The most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2024 confirmed the school remains Outstanding, highlighting exceptional teaching, student behaviour, and leadership.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering practical and theory-based lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will support students' physical wellbeing, teamwork skills, and confidence, working within a well organised and supportive PE department. This role requires a Female PE Teacher due to changing and supervision requirements.

Teach PE across KS3 and KS4
Deliver engaging and well structured practical lessons
Promote high standards of participation and behaviour
Assess progress and support pupil development
Work collaboratively within the PE department

Requirements

The ideal candidate would have

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
Strong behaviour and class management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
