A Production Manager opportunity with an international FMCG business at their Bradford based site.

Client Details

Michael Page is working with working with a Bradford based FMCG business to recruit a Production Manager. This organisation has an international presence with sites across 40 countries, supplying its products globally.

Description

The Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will form a crucial part of the site leadership team. You will work cross functionally with Engineering, Warehousing and CI, developing and driving a manufacturing improvement plan to drive the business results. You will drive performance across quality, cost, safety, delivery and team morale.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

Manage, lead and mentor a team of c50 production staff through 3 shift supervisors
Drive profitability of the production operation by ensuring KPI's are continuously monitored with action based reporting
Develop and drive continual improvement of production processes to ensure maximum productivity
Analyse downtime, carry out RCA's and put into place corrective actions
Management of processes to ensure company H&S and Quality policies are adhered to
Ensure production team are competent to the correct level, identifying skill gaps and ensuring relevant training is provided
Liaise cross functionally with other departments and support across these where needed
Ensure customer service levels meet business agreed targetsProfile

The successful production Manager will posses a range of the following:

Production Manager experience within the FMCG industry
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Knowledge and experience in applying continuous improvement tools and experience in lean principles and applications (Six Sigma green belt or above advantageous)
Ability to drive culture through change management and coachingJob Offer

Salary on offer £55,000- £60,000
