The Role:
Are you passionate about creating unforgettable events? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for an Events Officer to join our Events Team and drive the success of our event programme.
We're looking for a proactive and organised Events Officer to play a key role in delivering a range of high-quality events. You'll act as the main point of contact for external partners, working closely with venues, speakers, and sponsors to ensure smooth event execution. Your responsibilities will include managing event registration systems, delegate communications, and the events inbox, as well as supporting sponsorship delivery and post-event feedback collection. You'll collaborate with our Communications Team to create marketing materials and promotional campaigns, and help keep our website event pages up to date. You'll also assist with budget management by processing invoices and payments, and support event logistics including venue setup, AV, and catering. On event days, you'll be on the ground managing registration and liaising with suppliers and speakers
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Society in a professional manner at all times.
- Provide general support to the rest of the Events Team as required.
- Effectively manage the Society's CRM database to ensure accurate record-keeping and automated communications in line with GDPR best practices.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all events-related enquiries via phone and email, providing timely, helpful responses; processing bookings and payments efficiently; and ensuring a positive experience for members and the wider public alike.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to identify opportunities for event support, share relevant updates, and ensure alignment with broader organisational goals and member engagement strategies.
- Undertake all responsibilities in accordance with Society procedures.

- Excellent organisation and attention to detail: Confident managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and logistics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Able to liaise professionally with internal teams and external partners.
- Project and time management: Skilled at planning and delivering events on time and within budget.
- Problem-solving and adaptability: Calm under pressure and quick to resolve issues.
- IT and systems proficiency: Comfortable using event platforms, registration tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Marketing and promotional awareness: Experience supporting event communications and campaigns.
- Team player with a proactive approach: Positive, flexible, and focused on delivering great experiences.

Location: London/Hybrid with some UK Travel
Hours: Mon- Fri 9am to 5pm
