We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a maternity cover position at a well-respected Catholic school in Blackburn, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher looking to make a positive impact in a supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for end-of-year expectations.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and participate in school events and activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 5, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic school.
