Salary: £14000 - £19000 / annually

Class People are currently working on behalf a reputable pre-school located on the outskirts of Cheltenham town who are due to staff changes are looking to make a number of appointments at both the junior and senior levels.

The pre-school is the cornerstone of the local community and its staff are well thought after as they play an integral role in the start of children's learning and development as they enter formal education for local families. A small yet well-established team they are able to offer an abundance of experience from its current staff as well as job opportunities and security for those joining their team. Suitable early years practitioners should be passionate about their vocation as an Early Years Nursery Nurse or Pre-school Practitioner with a kind and caring attitude that creates a willingness to go above and beyond.

The roles that the nursery are looking to recruit for are:

  • Preschool Assistant - 16.75 hours per week over 3 days

The minimum qualification for this role is a Level 2, but most importantly it is about character and personality

  • Deputy Pre-School Manager - 35.5 hours per week over 5 days

The minimum qualification for this role is a Level 3, but most importantly it is about character and personality. This is on a 6month contract for a maternity but could be made to a permanent appointment at the end in this role or potentially in another. Some experience of management would be preferable to a minimum of 6 months.

  • Deputy Pre-School Manager - 35.5 hours per week over 5 days

The minimum qualification for this role is a Level 3, but experience in management is a must. This individual must be able to support the current Pre-school manager and at times step up into the managerial role. Experience in leading on ICT educational programme to the children as well as being responsible for the food hygiene on the premises. This is as a permanent appointment for those who would be looking for greater job security.

These roles will be looking to start in the new year but it would be preferable to meet, interview and observe candidates within the next 2 weeks.
