Business Development Executive - Indian Food Products (Retail & Foodservice)

We're working with a family-owned food manufacturer with over 30 years of heritage in authentic Indian meals, snacks, and sauces. Their products are proudly stocked in households, retail shelves, and takeaway kitchens across the UK - and they're now looking to bring on a Business Development Executive to expand their presence across London's independent retailers and foodservice outlets.

This is a purely field-based sales role with no office requirement - giving you full ownership of your patch and freedom to build your own commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive new business across independent retail, convenience, foodservice wholesalers, and fast-casual operators throughout London

* Use a mix of cold calling, walk-ins, LinkedIn prospecting, phone outreach, referrals, and trade networking to build a strong pipeline

* Create and execute your own territory sales plan, identifying high-potential areas and untapped opportunities

* Pitch products in person - showcasing samples, highlighting quality, and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs

* Negotiate pricing and commercial terms, ensuring deals are profitable and sustainable
Develop lasting relationships with business owners and buyers

* Work collaboratively with senior leadership to shape the sales strategy, product focus, and promotional activity

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in field sales, territory management, or business development, ideally within FMCG food or drink

* Comfortable generating your own leads and building a self-sufficient sales strategy

* Confident presenting to decision-makers and closing deals face-to-face

* Based in London, with good knowledge of independent retailers, ethnic stores, and food-led businesses

* Passion for world foods and the ability to communicate product value with energy and clarity
