Job Title: Senior Support Worker Location: Rochester, ME1 3BU.
Hours: a week Salary: £ per hour Information: This role is shift work so flexibility is required.
Driver, full UK driving licence, is desired not essential What do our Senior Support Workers do? Rochester House is a residential service for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, complex health and physical needs.
Rochester House supports people to access a wide range of activities.
People are supported to explore local attractions such as the zoo, shops, restaurants, pubs and participate in sports such as horse riding, trampolining and gym visits.
They are also supported in developing their independent living skills including meal preparation, budgeting, self-care, grocery shopping and domestic tasks.
As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the ; You will also be required to participate in the on call ; You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessments for the people we support.
What experience do you need? You’ll have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
A basic level of English and Math is also required.
An NVQ/Diploma L3 in Health and Social Care is required, or a willingness to work towards one, along with experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy and safe places to live.
