Fleet Assistant / Administrator- Spider is advertising on behalf of an electrical distributor, who is currently in search of a Fleet Assistant / Administrator to join their, friendly team in Chelmsford, Essex.

The Fleet Assistant / Administrator will assist the Fleet Manager in all operational aspects of the company fleet. Ensure best practice of existing logistic strategy, policies, processes, and procedures are maintained. Deputise in the absence of the Fleet Manager. You will attend to and deal with all servicing and repair requests from branches including Company car drivers by liaising with leasing providers as appropriate. You will have to ensure all other duties and tasks requested by the Fleet Manager and any company Director are completed in accordance with requests and in line with Company procedures and policies.

Other duties will include:

Recommend improvements to existing logistics systems and procedures.
Assist in the order of and maintaining fuel cards.
Monitor and prepare fuel usage reports including private mileage.
Ensure all company vehicles are registered to enter the London Congestion Zone and Dartford Bridge crossing.
Arrange and ensure drivers attend any courses including any FORS e-learning training and is kept up to date.
Undertake and complete the FORS E-learning modules.
Assist in the investigation of all Road Traffic accidents as requested to do so.
Undertake driving licence checks on all individuals prior to driving a Company vehicle to ensure they are qualified to do so.
Issue informative fleet related communications to drivers as appropriate.
Obtain an understanding of the Company's telematics system and ensure this is maintained and kept up to date.
To ensure good customer relationships are maintained through direct contact and via branch staff.

The ideal Fleet Assistant / Administrator will have a valid driving licence, this is essential. Strong administration skills along with basic office experience and excellent customer service experience, must be confidence to speak on the phone to internal stakeholders, attention to detail and highly organised. On offer is a salary of £21,000 - £23,000 per annum with excellent benefits including annual bonus, access to the company EAP, holiday entitlement and pension scheme.
