EYFS Teaching Assistant

• Hourly Rate: £14.18
• Location: Outskirts of Blackburn
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (October start date)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Join our dedicated team as an EYFS Teaching Assistant, supporting a full class within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and providing additional SEN support. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about early childhood education and experienced in special educational needs, looking for a temporary position through the festive season.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the delivery of daily activities and lessons tailored to EYFS students.
• Provide targeted support to children with special educational needs (SEN) under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teacher.
• Help prepare materials and resources for class activities.
• Support the classroom teacher in managing class behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environment.
• Engage with children to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities.
• Monitor and support the progress of individual students, providing feedback to the classroom teacher.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within EYFS.
• Understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Experience in supporting children with special educational needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and patient approach to child education and care.
