Our Finance Directors head up the accounting teams for individual clients on behalf of the founder. We need someone with an eye for detail who is proactive with an ability to anticipate client needs. We need someone well-organised that will delight customers and support the development of their accounting processes and team.

With our commitment to flexibility, this post is open to someone between 0.6 FTE. Save for meeting with clients, most of the work is performed remotely. We have developed the whole business model based on remote working and the financial processes in place support this.

The full-time equivalent salary on offer is £75,000 p.a.

Mission

We’re on the hunt for someone who can become a part of our Finance Director services within our client portfolio. You will act as the trusted advisor to clients, being responsible for analysing and reporting financial performance, preparing forecasts and budgets and providing directions to our team of bookkeepers and finance managers who will be supporting you. Whether we work with clients, suppliers or our internal team, we’re after someone who is committed to the holistic wellbeing of our clients.

What are the core competencies we need?

  • Qualified proficient accountant with a proven track record of high-quality service delivery to customers
  • Proficient with accounting technical skills and knowledge
  • Provide a "safe pair of hands" feel that builds trust with clients
  • Ability to prioritise workload: keeping multiple plates spinning at once
  • Willingness to help with a wide range of tasks from all aspects of the business.
  • A clear communicator, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Iris, Sage, QuickBooks and Xero preferred
  • Experience with charity accounts would be advantageous
