Salary: £13.33 per hour

We are seeking an experienced, supportive, and inspiring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Nelson. You will work primarily in a Year 4 general classroom, supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions, and helping pupils reach their full potential.

This is a full-time position with non-negotiable hours:

• Monday & Tuesday: 8:15 – 15:35
• Wednesday: 8:15 – 16:20
• Thursday: 8:15 – 16:05
• Friday: 8:15 – 15:35

In addition to classroom support, you will:

• Supervise children at lunchtimes (dinner hall and playground).
• Assist with breakfast club once per week.
• Deliver small group interventions, including Guided Reading.
• Provide 1-1 support for pupils as needed.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Have previous experience with Year 4 or above.
• Be nurturing, supportive, and inspiring.
• Have a strong track record in delivering interventions and classroom support.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate children.
• Work effectively as part of a highly motivated professional team.
• Be committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
• Provide two references covering the last 5 years.
• Hold a current DBS check or be willing to obtain one.
