We are representing a well-known client in County Durham, that are hiring an Accounts Receivable Assistant on a permanent basis. This position is suited to a confident and organised individual, who has experience in an accounts receivable position or is eager to develop a career in this area.The role is full-time office based, to the ability to commute to the Consett area is essential. Access to a car is desirable as some travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities: - Monitoring customer accounts and identifying overdue payments.
- Contacting customers via phone, email, and letters to ensure prompt payment.
- Negotiating payment plans and managing repayment schedules.
- Liaising with other departments to resolve payment issues.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment statuses.
- Preparing reports on outstanding debts and collections activities.
Requirements: - Previous experience in am accounts receivable or credit control or similar financial role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Access to a car is desired due to the office location and occasional travel requirements.
