Our client is currently looking for a CNC Laser Assistant, the primary responsibility of this role is to assist the lead operator setting and operating a Bystronic laser machine.

General Job Description

The main responsibility is to assist in running the machine efficiently, working as part of a small team in a lean production environment. They will be responsible for hitting strict daily schedules.

Job Specification

Assisting with the Setting/Operating of machines
Using hand tools such as grinders and deburring tools
Understanding engineering drawings
Carrying out quality checks on products
Ensure all jobs are batched, marked up and allocated to the correct places
Pull jobs together and package ready for delivery
Offload deliveries and ensure they are identified, stored and marked-up appropriately
Ensure paperwork is filled in correctly and filed in the general office
Learn the basic of laser operations and assistant with running and maintenance
Driving the company van to make deliveries during busy periods
Person Specifications

Previous experience in an engineering role would be advantageous
Able to read and understand engineering drawings and production cards
Driving licence for using company vanHours of Operation (2 week rotation)

06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
16:00 - 02:00 Monday to FridayThis is temporary to permanent role for the right person
