If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Randstad Education is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled SEN/SEMH Teacher for a rewarding role in the Leeds area. We're looking for someone to work with a dedicated team, providing vital support to young children with addtional needs.
Key Responsibilities As an SEN/SEMH Teacher, your role is crucial to the success and well-being of the pupils. You will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering tailored lessons that cater to pupils with a wide spectrum of Special Educational Needs and SEMH challenges.

Confidently implementing positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to ensure a productive and safe learning space.

Providing consistent emotional support to pupils, helping them develop self-regulation skills and a strong sense of self-worth.

Collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to pupil development.

Regularly assessing and reporting on pupil progress against their individualised targets and learning goals.
Requirements To succeed in this position, you must possess:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Demonstrable experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

A naturally patient and resilient approach to working with vulnerable pupils.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport quickly.

Specific training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is highly desirable.
