We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a cut and carve project in Oxford, involving the structural alteration of an existing building to create new retail space. The works include structural steel installation (new staircase), internal reconfiguration, and comprehensive MEP packages. The avlue of the job is £2.5m and runs till End of September

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Coordinate structural alterations, steel staircase installation, and all MEP interfaces
Lead subcontractor management, inductions, and quality inspections
Maintain strong communication with the Project Manager, client team, and design consultants
Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and temporary works as required
Implement and maintain Health & Safety compliance at all times
Drive programme adherence and report weekly progress
Maintain site records, daily diaries, and quality assurance documentation

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Manager on cut and carve / structural alteration projects
Strong knowledge of steelwork, MEP coordination, and fit-out for retail or mixed-use schemes
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid certified
Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to read and interpret structural and services drawings effectively
