Astute Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established business based in Wednesbury, who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working towards their CIMA or ACCA qualification and looking to develop within a supportive and growing finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and manage daily cash reviews and forecasts
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Support with ledger closing and month-end processes
• Provide sickness or holiday cover to the purchase and sales ledger teams when needed
• Carry out a range of ad hoc duties to support the finance team

About You:

• Experience in a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes
• Confident and competent user of Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexible and adaptable team player
• Eager to progress and develop professionally

What’s On Offer:

• Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience
• Study support towards CIMA or ACCA
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Potential for hybrid working after successful probation
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
