We’re seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join an established Finance team and play a pivotal role in managing the financial heartbeat of their organisation.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will oversee the integrity of our financial ledgers – the foundation of monthly management reporting across all banking business units and annual statutory financial statements. You’ll take ownership of reconciliations, investigations, reporting, and process improvements, while leading and developing a Finance Assistant.

From steering key reconciliations to collaborating with external auditors, you’ll have the opportunity to shape processes, support strategic projects, and ensure the smooth running of the finance operations.

  • Salary: £65K-£70K
  • Location: Canary Wharf
  • Hybrid working after successful completion of probationary period

The Main Duties:

  • Oversee bank, intercompany, and other general ledger reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
  • Manage invoice processing, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Prepare monthly reports, supporting schedules, and assist with management information packs.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.
  • Participate in projects such as new product accounting, system upgrades, and process enhancements.
  • Mentor and supervise a Finance Assistant, ensuring their growth and performance.
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience.
  • Strong background in banking or financial services accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
  • Exceptional analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
