Warehouse Operative (FLT Certified) – Freight & Logistics | Basildon

You must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (3000kg minimum) to be considered for this role.

A Flexi FLT licence is a bonus, but not required.

We’re working with a well-established freight and logistics company in Basildon that’s looking to bring on two experienced Warehouse Operatives. The Role

You'll play a key role in day-to-day warehouse operations—loading/unloading freight using FLT equipment, keeping accurate documentation, and ensuring everything is handled with care and precision. Safety, attention to detail, and reliability are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Loading and unloading freight using forklift trucks
• Following internal warehouse procedures and safety protocols
• Reporting damages or shortages to supervisors
• Managing booking-in procedures and recording dims
• Ensuring freight is properly secured and signed for upon collection
• Performing daily forklift checks and maintenance tasks
• Supporting warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and safety compliance
• Covering occasional Saturday shifts on a rota basis

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (3000kg minimum) – required
• Flexi FLT licence – desirable but not essential
• At least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse role, ideally in freight/groupage
• Full UK driving licence
• Solid awareness of warehouse safety standards
• Ability to pass a DBS check and provide a 5-year employment history for site security clearance
