Seeking Level 3 Teaching Assistants (SEND)!

Tradewind Recruitment are in partnership with an Outstanding special school in Dudley which provides high quality education and care for pupils aged 4 to 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD), (PMLD), including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and complex medical needs. This will be to start from September.

🌱 Your Role Will Include:

Supporting pupils with significant learning needs both in and out of the classroom

Providing tailored 1:1 and group support, guided by EHCPs

Assisting with personal care, mobility and medical needs as required

Using a range of communication aids and sensory strategies

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals

✅ You Will Need:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a special school or specialist provision, including PMLD, SLD, ASC, or complex needs

Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation

A calm, caring, and patient approach

Willingness to assist with personal care and medical routines

💡 Desirable:

Manual handling or Team Teach training

Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or other communication tools
