We have a lovely setting not far from Hackney and just a short walk from the overland and tube stations who are looking for a Level 2 qualified Nursery Assistant.

This nursery offers high quality childcare and is specially equipped for children aged from three months to five years. All of the care is specially tailored to suit each age group enabling them to offer the best age-appropriate facilities to the children.

As a Level 2 Nursery Assistant you will support your room team in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children to learn and grow, while also maintaining their health and safety. This role requires a combination of caregiving skills, creativity, and effective communication with both children and parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
  • Plan and organize activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development through playtime, games, and creative activities
  • Assist with basic care routines, including feeding, changing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Maintain positive communication with parents or guardians, sharing information about a child's day and progress
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about best practices in childcare and early childhood education
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Hold a government recognised childcare qualification at Level 2
  • Have previous experience of working with children in a nursery setting or environment
  • Work collaboratively with other nursery staff, following the guidance of senior staff or room leaders to ensure consistency in care and activities
  • A desire to be an active member of the team, challenging yourself and the children on a daily basis
  • All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure
