About the Role:

We're recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join a growing and well-established manufacturer of special-purpose machinery and automation systems.

You'll be a key part of the design function, leading projects from concept through to completion while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement across design standards.

What you'll be doing:

* Leading projects from concept through to completion

* Assigning tasks and reviewing the work of fellow design engineers

* Producing innovative designs using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar)

* Working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver bespoke machinery solutions

* Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering problem-solving

What we're looking for:

* Proven experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, ideally in bespoke/special-purpose machinery

* Confident in leading projects and reviewing the work of others

* Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar)

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Adaptable and proactive approach, thriving in a dynamic environment
