As a Mechanical Fitter, your role will involve:

Reactive and proactive maintenance on all production plant
Providing technical support and advice for Production Supervisors
Effective planning and carrying out work schedules
Route cause analysis, fault finding, and diagnostics of issues to ensure plant reliability
Recommending and implementing machine modifications
Setting up and adjusting machinery to meet production needs
Daily servicing and upkeep of key mechanical assets
Investigate product quality complaints by improving maintenance techniques
Offering hands-on assistance on the production floor as needed
Adherence to Health and Safety regulations and safe working practises

Ideal candidate:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Fitting / Engineering
Ideally apprentice trained
Experience in maintaining an automated plant is essential
Ideally worked within a heavy manufacturing environment
Willingness to drive continuous improvements
Strong team player
High standards in own workmanship

Due to the shift pattern our client is looking for Mechanical Fitters who live within a 30 minute drive to the site
