We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to join our life science team. Reporting to the construction operations director, you will play an integral role in running multiple bio-life science projects for the success and growth of Iron Construction, Inc. We are a private commercial general contractor. Your efforts will have a tremendous impact on the company's reputation as one of the Bay Area's top contractors.
Your work will include:
1. Budget control/fee management
2. Maintain schedule
3. Project and scope development
4. Meet regularly with owners/clients/team members
5. Multiple building department interface
6. Review project billing percentages
7. Review change order scope and pricing
8. Reading and interpretation of construction documents
10. Project buy-out
11. Subcontractor management
12. Work with Superintendent on schedule
13. Maintain quality control
14. Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management
15. Business development
16. Maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity
17. Development of subordinates
19. Belong to and maintain relationships with professional organizations
20. Other duties as may be assigned.
The position requires a minimum of 5-7 years' professional project manager experience in life science construction. We will also consider candidates with 2-4 years' experience for an entry level position. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of project management experience in the life science area. In addition, you must have a bachelor's degree. A concentration in construction management is preferred but not required.
