12-month contract (Maternity Cover) with a view to hopefully making the role permanent at the end of the contract.The Role: Our client is recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager to help drive new business acquisition for their marketing intelligence and training portfolio. The role will involve a combination of prospecting for new logos, as well as qualifying and closing inbound leads. You will be selling subscriptions to a digital marketing insights platform which helps businesses to upskill their marketing teams and delivers crucial industry intelligence. You will be working closely with both global brands (retail, fashion, media, pharma etc.) and agencies (marketing, PR etc.).

The incoming Senior BDM will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition through a combination of inbound lead qualification and tailored lead-generation campaigns. This position will be well suited to a confident, customer-focussed salesperson who has experience running discovery meetings and product demonstrations, both face-to-face and virtually. The ideal candidate will have experience in a proactive, subscription/Saas sales role, and will be passionate about building long-lasting client relationships.

The Company: This well-established and highly regarded media business has a strong reputation in the marketing industry. With a large range of products and services including publishing titles, business information portals, and market-leading events, they have forged deep relationships with a wide variety of corporate clients across multiple industries, including Retail, FMCG, Tech and Healthcare etc.

Our client is now looking to springboard off the success of their B2B events and publications to build out their range of license-based, digital offerings, including market intelligence products, eLearning solutions and contact databases.

As the Senior BDM, your responsibilities will include:

Forging new relationships with C-level marketing decision makers of large global brands and marketing/media agencies.
Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation/qualification, through to close.
Collaborating with internal teams, including product and marketing, to create bespoke solutions for clientsFor this position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

4+ years of B2B new business sales experience is required
Experience closing deals within a subscription sales environment e.g. BI/Data/SaaS
Understanding/interest in the digital marketing, media, or PR sectors.
Experience managing complex B2B sales processes 3-6 month timescalesBenefits of the Senior BDM role:
