BAE Systems is currently looking for Lead Systems Engineers to join their Mission Systems (E853) team at Warton. The Job
  • Lead or contribute across the entire engineering lifecycle—from concept and requirements to design, implementation, and certification.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside engineers, planners, and delivery partners.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support agile delivery through regular team meetings, resource planning, and task coordination.
  • Produce key engineering artefacts and documentation.
    Skills
  • Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven systems engineering expertise across the lifecycle
  • Proficiency in tools like UML/SysML, MATLAB, MoDAF, or similar
  • Mission systems experience (especially in EW, DASS, Sensors, or RF domains)
