JOB TITLE - Primary HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and qualified Primary HLTA to join a welcoming and well‑supported Primary School in Bristol.
The school is known for its collaborative staff team, strong leadership, and commitment to professional growth. Ongoing CPD opportunities are provided throughout the year.

This is a long‑term position, and depending on performance, the school may look to extend the contract or offer a permanent role.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol
Position: Primary HLTA
Type: Full‑time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £100 - £130 per day
Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this HLTA position, you must have:

Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 childcare/education qualification
Mandatory experience working in a primary school setting
Strong classroom management and the ability to lead whole‑class teaching
Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year)
Experience supporting Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Speech & Language needs
A strong command of English (written and verbal)
Additional experience within healthcare or therapeutic settings is desirable but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child‑barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to complete a new application
