Salary: M1-UPS3 (Outer London) + Potential TLR for suitable candidates

Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher to join a rapidly improving East London secondary school from January 2026. The school is on a strong upward journey and requires a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality science education and driving excellent outcomes for students.

This role would suit a reflective, ambitious teacher who is eager to contribute to a well-ordered curriculum and a supportive department. A TLR may be available for applicants who can demonstrate the leadership skills and subject expertise needed to take on additional responsibilities.

About the Role

Teach Science across Key Stages 3-4

Deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that foster curiosity and strong progress

Use effective assessment to monitor learning and inform planning

Contribute to curriculum development within the Science department

Create a positive, safe, and purposeful learning environment

Uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Requirements

A degree in a relevant science subject

Strong teaching practice—ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
