SEN Teacher

The provision rethinks engagement and supports learners aged 7-19 through flexible, innovative teaching that helps them reconnect with education.
We are seeking a compassionate, creative and committed SEN Teacher to join the Hinckley team and deliver an exceptional, personalised learning experience to children and young people.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you'll work with learners aged 7 to 19, teaching in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You’ll deliver an engaging, flexible curriculum, primarily supporting Key Stage 3/ Key Stage 4 learners- across subjects including:
- Maths
- English
- PSHE
- Cooking
- Preparation for Adulthood (PFA)
You’ll work closely with Site Lead Teachers to develop multi-sensory, holistic learning experiences tailored to each learner’s individual needs, interests and goals.
Your teaching will focus on:
- Building learner confidence
- Improving engagement through creative approaches
- Supporting academic, social and emotional development
- Ensuring wellbeing, inclusion and safety at all times
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes
- Use varied, creative teaching methods to meet diverse SEN needs
- Advocate for young people and involve them in decision-making
- Support Learning Managers with SEN information, assessments, profiles and progress reports
- Contribute to curriculum development and improvement planning
- Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements (e.g. EHCPs, transition planning)
- Commit to continuous professional development and stay up to date with SEN best practice

Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- SEN teaching experience (preferred)
- Relevant Level 6 qualification (preferred)
