Support Worker Needed - SEMH School (Allerdale Area) 💼

We are currently seeking a committed and resilient Support Worker to join a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in the Allerdale area.

You will be working closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, in a small class setting of up to 8 children. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH needs
Supporting the teacher with in-class support to maintain structure and positive behaviour
Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Building trusting relationships with pupils to support their emotional and educational developmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people, particularly in an SEMH or SEN setting
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learningLocation: Allerdale
Start Date: ASAP up to July 2026
