The Opportunity:A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a well-established finance team in Scunthorpe. This role offers excellent exposure across treasury and month-end processes, making it an ideal next step for someone looking to broaden their skillset and progress their finance career.

You’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals, gaining hands-on involvement in cash management, reconciliations, and supporting the production of management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support treasury activities including cash flow monitoring and forecasting

• Assist with daily banking, payments, and bank reconciliations

• Contribute to month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations

• Support preparation of management accounts

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong financial controls

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external banking contacts

• Assist with process improvements across the finance function

About You:

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or actively studying

• Experience in a finance role with exposure to month-end processes

• Strong attention to detail and good Excel skills

• Keen to develop a career within treasury/finance

• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
