Description

* Maintaining financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in the Sage accounting system.

* Preparing monthly management accounts, providing analysis.

* Owning the reconciliation and consolidation of all balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies.

* Supporting the Finance Director with the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting cycles.

* Assisting the Finance Director with reporting requirements to the Group finance function.

* Supporting the income reconciliation process.

* Take responsibility for risk management and compliance activities, including preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.

* Ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.

* Support the annual audit process.

* Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.

* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.

* Mentoring and managing 1 junior member of staff.

Profile

• A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in management accounts, financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel. A further knowledge of SAGE is desirable.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing analysis.
