Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: London & Greater London
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

We are representing our client, a well-established and respected building services provider, who is looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support their growing operations across London. This is a long-term role offering stability, consistent workload, and excellent earning potential for a skilled engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and minor installation works on a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning systems

Attending reactive breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repair

Working on systems including:

Split systems

Multi-split systems

VRV / VRF systems

Identifying electrical and mechanical faults and implementing permanent solutions

Carrying out basic installation, upgrades, and component replacements where required

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with:

F-Gas regulations

Company procedures

Completing service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation accurately and on time

Communicating clearly with site contacts and management

Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience working as an Air Conditioning Engineer

F-Gas Category 1 certification (mandatory)

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability

Experience working in commercial environments

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Full UK Driving Licence
