Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: 35000 - 45000 - Annual bonus (10% of base salary)

Field Automation Specialist Base Salary Circa: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Up to 10% Bonus Annually + Company Car + 8% Pension (Up to 6% by the employee & up to 9% by employer) + Healthcare (including Dental & Eye Care) + + 3x Death In Service & Critical Illness Scheme + 23 Days holiday + 8 days statutory + 1 Day for your Birthday + Childcare Vouchers + Mobile + Laptop Territory: UK wide with up to 80% travel Home office based and ideally living in either: Midlands, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridge, Surrey or London The Requirements of the Field Automation Specialist You will have at least 2 years proven Field Applications or Field Service experience within the Life Sciences sector ideally working with products such as: Liquid Handling / Laboratory Automation Robotics / Compound Management/ Next Generation Sequencing or closely related areas It is a big advantage if you have prior experience working with NGS / Liquid Handling Robotics such as the Tecan Evo or Fluent platforms in a Laboratory environment as a Scientist Ideally you will have a firm understanding of VB Scripting (Virtual Basic) and be able to conduct drag + drop script-writing for liquid handling automation You will hold a minimum of a BSc in a Life Science discipline such as Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or similar degree You must be prepared to travel throughout the UK mainly as well as overseas when required for training/team meetings Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills, and enjoy working independently as well as part of a long standing & successful UK & wider European automation team You must hold a full UK driving licence & valid UK passport The Responsibilities of the Field Automation Specialist: Responding to customer's requests and complaints in a prompt and professional manner Solving customer hard- and software problems at the customer sites Providing on-site service and support Installation of hardware, software along with delivery of application scripts through to finalisation Escalating issues within the organisation when needed Maintaining knowledge of instruments and products by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks Provide support throughout Europe when required Support the automation sales specialist with their sales efforts, product demonstrations and trade shows My Client: My client is a market leading organisation within the fast-growing laboratory automation & robotics industry They are specialised in the development, production and distribution of Liquid Handling automation solutions for laboratories in the market segments of life sciences, drug discovery, clinical diagnostics and forensics to name just a few Their products are very highly rated, and the company is highly acquisitive leading to constant new ventures becoming available across the organisation With a great track record in the industry they empower and develop their employees, so they can provide the highest level of customer service & satisfaction every time
