Associate Teacher Counselling

Salary:  £21.26 (unqualified) or £24.63 (qualified) per hour

We are looking to employ an Associate Teacher in our 'Counselling' Team to teach on the Introduction and Certificate in Counselling to prepare for the Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy degree. 

The applicant should have a good record of teaching experience and prior experience from a person-centred approach.  You will work to deliver high quality teaching and learning at levels 2 and 3, as well as acting as a Personal Tutor.  You will need to maintain up to date records and take on an internal assessment role in-line with college policy.  Knowledge of Educational policies are essential for the role. 

You will have an appropriate Counselling qualification, evidence of ongoing professional development and for appointment as a qualified teacher you will also hold a teaching qualification. With a broad knowledge of trends and initiatives within the industry; you will also have experience of contributing to course design and curriculum development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an appreciation of the uses of IT are essential, as is a commitment to excellence.
