Description

The Financial Controller will have a wide range of duties including:

• Provide leadership to the small finance team
• Ensure all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting standards and best practice
• Oversee the production of monthly management accounts
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Develop and manage budgets across the organisation
• Produce financial reports and statements for senior management and the board
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the management level

Profile

A successful 'Financial Controller' should have:

• A professional qualification in accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
• Proven leadership skills within a finance team
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable
• Knowledge of charity accounting
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
