Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stockport (Single Site)

Salary: £41,000 + optional night shift uplift (33%)

The Opportunity

An established, high-tech manufacturing business is looking to add a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to its team. This is a key role focused on improving equipment availability and supporting a proactive maintenance culture. You'll be responsible for delivering a mix of planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance to ensure production uptime and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on CNC and other manufacturing equipment

Support the shift from reactive to preventative maintenance

Fault finding and diagnostics across PLCs, drives, and inverters

Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement

Maintain accurate records of tasks, downtime, and parts usage

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise disruption

What We're Looking For

HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred)

Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting

Hands on knowledge of CNC machinery

Confident diagnosing faults across electrical and mechanical systems

Strong problem solving skills and awareness of health & safety
