Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Care Manager in the S40 area on a permanent basis. In this position, the Care Manager will need experience working in a senior position in a Children's Residential Home and will be reporting to the registered Home Manager. The home cares for 8-18 years olds which prides itself on its homely and safe environment.

Responsibilities as the Care Manager:
• Managing the residential home on a day to day basis, ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements including the health and educational needs of young people.
• To have experience of working with Ofsted and their requirements.
• Ensure the protection and safeguard the wellbeing of the young people
• Interpreting and implementing changes in legislation relating to occupancy to ensure any enhanced requirements
• Supporting children and young people with moderate physical disabilities and additional complex needs.
• Identifying resourcing needs and the ongoing selection, training and development of staff
• Building and creating mutual trust and respect with young people in order that they respond and react appropriately to information and advice.
• Providing care and support to the children and young people to encompass all physical psychological emotional, spiritual and social needs
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care, including medication administration and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance for auditing purposes including supervision of the staff to ensure all training is up to date.

Qualifications and Skills required for the Care Manager:
• Level 5 in Children and Young People
• Strong background in senior care management is highly desirable.
• Have an awareness of multi-sensory and complex needs.
• 5 years' experience in working in Children's Residential Settings
• Excellent leadership abilities with prior supervising experience in a healthcare environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
• A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life.
• UK Driving Licence is preferred to support with school runs and activities
