Counterbalance Driver Wanted!! Job Title: Counterbalance Counterbalance Driver Salary: £ per hour, overtime £ per hour, Attendance Allowance, days £22 per week and Nights £55 per week Location: Chesterfield Job Type: Temp to Perm Hours & Days of work: Shift work only
•Static nights (Sunday to Tuesday incl.) 1800 to 0600 (36 hours)
•Static nights (Wednesday to Friday incl.) 1800 to 0600 (36 hours)

You will be joining a team of warehouse operatives/cold store operatives and Reach truck drivers within the ambient and chilled warehousing areas to support in the daily distribution of pallets. Primarily you will receive and despatch pallets of stock to and from the cold store/ambient sites ensuring that all stock is moved safely between the warehouse and vehicles. You will be required to use the computer systems inside the reach trucks correctly and accurately to avoid miss sited pallets. You will be enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and hard working with excellent time keeping skills who enjoys working as part of a team as well as organised, with a strong attention to detail. •Gym discount The Role: Main Responsibilities:
•Monitor and control all pallets of stock transferring between the Cold store/Ambient sites and despatch areas.
•Ensure all pallets received into the warehouse are sited safely and correctly to company procedures.
•Ensure that all pallet standards are acceptable into the warehouse – identifying any concerns to your line manager.
•Understand your depot KPI’s for the task you are completing and aim to achieve in a safe manner
•Ensure that all pallets are sited/re-sited or despatched correctly and that any part pallet picks from the warehouse are accounted for correctly and pallets returned to the warehouse sites.
•Reporting to your Line Manager all visual hazards such as damaged cartons and possible dangerous working conditions such as tipped pallet in the warehouse and follow the company procedures.
•Support and assist the loading bay staff to ensure all stock being prepared for loading or to be located is wrapped and stacked correctly and that all stock is in good visual order as stated in the company procedures.
•Monitor your own Material Handling Equipment (MHE) performance, following the training received for the companies process for pre-shift check.
•Ensure all defects and damage are reported to your line manager, you are to follow all processes and procedures when using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) effectively
•Manage the standard of your work area and follow the company policies to ensure you are working in a clean and safe environment (clean as you go)
•Ensure all pre-shift checks are completed before you commence work and follow the reporting process for any defects
•Report any damage and defects found on the racking to your Line Manager.
•Monitor the battery water levels and fill when necessary – ensure we follow the Material Handling Equipment Providers (MHE) Guidelines
•Ensure all pallets received or despatched to / from the warehouse are of a quality in line with the company procedure.
•Always move Pallets using the radio data terminals (RDT) and report any anomalies to your Line Manager.
•Follow the procedure at all times on your radio data terminal (RDT) for despatching part picked pallets.
•Report all spillages immediately
•Warehouse awareness for pedestrians must be adhered to at all times. The Person Specification: Attitudes & Qualities:

•Must have precision and concentration Essentials Required: Qualifications / Skills & Experience
•Must hold a current Counterbalance Truck licence (inhouse certificates will be considered)
•Previous experience within a cold store and/or similar environment
•Proven record of Counterbalance truck experience within a warehouse
•Experience of noticing when machinery isn’t working properly, being able to accurately move loads in confined spaces, estimate the weight of loads.
•Knowledge of forklifts, automation and computerized processes for inventory control
•Proven math ability in order to calculate loads etc Desirable’s: Qualifications / Skills & Experience
