Our client in the Bradford area is seeking a History specialist with Ebacc experience to step into this leadership role from September 2023. 

With pay sitting between L6-L10, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual.

Main Responsibilities

Support the work of the Director following their strategic objectives and prevailing demands of the subject, including where necessary deputising in their absence.   As such specific responsibilities are subject to change according to need, but typically could include:

Support the implementation of good processes and systems throughout the faculty to promote, monitor and ensure high standards and outcomes.
Lead staff INSET and training.
Effectively liaise with the Lead Teachers and Associate Lead Teachers to assist in the training or development of staff in identified areas of need.
Curriculum development to optimise student engagement and learning.
Quality assurance procedures, including performance management.
On the basis of data collection, highlight students across all year groups who require intervention and support, liaising with the relevant key staff.
Planning and leading interventions.
Lead on the induction of new staff in to the faculty. 
Any other tasks reasonably associated with the role.
Essential Criteria

Graduate with qualified teacher status
Knowledge of relevant curriculum areas at KS3 and KS4 including a thorough understanding of assessment and monitoring
Excellent classroom practitioner
Knowledge of current national developments relating to EBACC Subjects and education in general.
Successful teaching of EBACC Subjects at  Key Stages 3 and 4
Consistent record of strong student outcomes
Familiarity with the use of data to raise expectations, achievement, progress and attainment
Successful experience of at least middle leadership level of EBACC Subjects within a similar setting
High levels of personal commitment and willingness to work hard
Competitive and ambitious nature, desire to be the best
Willingness to learn and apply new strategies for improving and sustaining the highest quality of teaching, learning and achievement
Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels
