Job Title: 11+ Tutor (Employed)

Location: Balham & Clapham, Southwest London

Work hours: A minimum of 1 hour per week (extending to 5 for the right candidate) guaranteed during term time - 39 weeks per year - with the option work additional hours. Please note workings hours are across evenings and weekends.

Pay Rate: £39.22 per hour (inc. holiday pay)

Keystep Education is an 11+ tuition company with a strong reputation in Southwest London. To continue supporting students and families on their 11+ journeys, we are seeking a dedicated tutor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide high quality one-to-one in-person tuition to students in the Balham and Clapham areas in preparation for the 11+ exam. The individual will be responsible for preparing and and delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual students' needs (full training provided). To facilitate continuous learning, they will also monitor students' progress and provide feedback to parents and the Keystep Education Team.

Essential Criteria:

• A First Class or 2:1 undergraduate degree
• A clear, enhanced DBS check in accordance with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (2006). If you don't already hold an enhanced DBS, Keystep Education can arrange for one to be conducted.
• Must be able to travel independently around the Balham and Clapham areas, either by own means or public transport
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to provide a 12-month commitment to delivering high-quality tutoring
• Ability to work flexibly across evenings and weekends

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of the private education sector
• Experience of working with young people
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience working within the English education system
