I am working with an market leading specialist learning consultancy looking to expand their team with an Instructional Designer currently.
As a Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of developing creative top quality digital solutions to include storyboarding, instructional design, concept scoping and quality assuring content. Shaping the learner experience is the focal point of this position and you will be expected to design, develop and deliver digital content utilising technical and learning design principles to do so.
Design and create engaging content based upon pedagogical theory and instructional design principles
Use tools such as rise and storyline to design branded templates and storyboards
Define course structures including course learning outcomes and design approach
Create clear and concise briefs
Collaborate effectively with external consultants, subject matter experts and solutions managers to deliver on 5 star learning content
Ensure best practice
Experience working within e-learning in an instructional design role
Ability to identify learner types (using personas, user stories, empathy mapping or other methods) and use incorporate into learning solutions
Strong level of knowledge in other areas including UX principles, visual design, video production, gamification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb written skills including script, storytelling, speaker notes
Worked across the full lifecycle of developing digital interventions including concept scoping, content structuring, technical subject matter authoring etc
Ability to effectively manage content and suppliers
Experience in managing volume of work across strict deadlines
Highly motivated individual with experience in working both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational, time-management and administrational skills with the ability to successfully multi-task
