About Us:

We are a nurturing and ambitious primary school located in Hertfordshire, dedicated to giving children the best possible start to their educational journey. Our Early Years provision is central to our school's success, and we pride ourselves on offering a stimulating, child-centred environment where pupils thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. We are now seeking an experienced and passionate EYFS teacher to lead our Early Years team from September 2025.

Role Overview:

As EYFS Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring a high-quality learning experience that lays a strong foundation for future success. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established team and shape the strategic development of our Early Years provision while also teaching within the EYFS setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, creative teaching within the EYFS

*

Lead, support, and inspire the Early Years team, ensuring consistency and excellence across the phase

*

Develop and monitor the EYFS curriculum in line with statutory frameworks and school priorities

*

Use assessment effectively to track progress and plan interventions

*

Promote a child-led approach to learning that supports curiosity, independence, and resilience

*

Work closely with parents and carers to build strong partnerships and support home learning

*

Collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to whole-school development

We Are Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Significant experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage

*

A strong understanding of EYFS pedagogy, assessment, and the Early Learning Goals

*

Proven leadership ability or strong middle leadership potential

*

A reflective and proactive approach to teaching and leadership

*

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills

*

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
