SEN Teaching Assistant

Cover People are working in partnership with an outstanding mainstream secondary school in Bury, who are looking to employ an SEN Teaching Assistant for their SEN department. A warm and welcoming secondary school in a desirable location with excellent transport links. The school has excellent provision, with a vast number of resources to help you and the pupils that you'll be supporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Help create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Work alongside the teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for students.
Provide support and guidance to students, help them to overcome challenges
Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEND needs is highly desirable.
Desire to work in mainstream secondary schools
Passion and drive to help impact the lives of the children around you
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Previous experience working within a school for 6 weeks+.
