Accounts Manager

Are you a proactive Accounts Manager eager to join a dynamic accountancy practice? We're a lively team based in the heart of Liverpool, and we're on the lookout for someone like you to help lead our Accounts team. This role goes beyond the numbers; it's about connecting with clients and providing top-notch service.

What You'll Do:

• Guide and supervise the accounts team, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Review financial statements and reports for accuracy.
• Manage the team's workload and keep the directors updated with weekly meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, being their go-to for day-to-day issues.
• Keep an eye on budgets, spot any variances, and streamline processes.
• Stay updated on financial reporting standards and share insights with clients.
• Help scout for new business opportunities and chip in on proposals.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Is ACA/ACCA qualified with 3–5 years of experience post-qualification.
• Has a solid background in managing accounts teams within a practice setting.
• Knows their way around UK accounting standards.
• Can juggle different priorities without breaking a sweat.
• Is skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiar with software like TaxCalc, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage.
• Is proactive, great at communicating, and can handle the heat when deadlines approach.
• Has prior experience in a UK Practice environment.
