About Us

We are a recruiting for a reputable building contractor delivering high-quality property maintenance services on behalf of a leading Housing Association. Due to continued growth and the ongoing success of their void property contract, we are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join their team.

The Role

Working on a dedicated voids contract for a Housing Association, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and refurbishment works to bring empty properties back to a lettable standard within agreed timescales.

This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round skillset and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent service

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out multi-trade repairs and maintenance in void residential properties

* Complete works including (but not limited to):

* Carpentry (doors, skirting, kitchen repairs)

* Basic plumbing (tap changes, sanitary ware replacement)

* Patch plastering and making good

* Tiling repairs

* Painting and decorating

* Bathroom and kitchen fitting

* Ensure properties meet lettable standards and client specifications

* Work efficiently to meet turnaround deadlines

* Maintain high standards of health and safety

* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and housing officers

* Accurately complete job reports and paperwork

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative in social housing or void properties

* Strong carpentry skills (essential)

* Good all-round trade knowledge

* Ability to work independently and manage workload

* Full UK driving licence

* CSCS card (preferred)
